CARILLON

The project came into being through careful reflection upon the space available, with the focus being on the creation of a neutral, uncontaminated environment. Thus, the piece would be light in essence. It would not be laden with aesthetic features that can visually tire out the observer, or in this case the guest who will be in close contact with the environment for a prolonged period.

The piece consists of a square grill, made out of iron and wood and anchored to the ceiling. At its base there is a series of perforated panels, with hanging cords that are tied to the ends by steel rings.

Each cord coincides to a carillon, hidden inside the aforementioned panels.

The furnishing is minimal in its form with mirrored steel surfaces, while the walls, doors and ceiling are monochromatic (in white). All of this is chosen so as not to distract from the features hanging down from the ceiling.

The resulting environment is, therefore, quite cold. However, the guest has the chance to choose the rhythm of his/her stay, pulling the cords at will.
