Carmen Cardillo obtained his Diploma in Painting in 1999, at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Catania, specialising in Visual Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Brera, Milan, in 2006. During the years 2001-2003, he completed the two-year course in Photography at the C.F.P Riccardo Bauer, Milan. In 2008 he held the “Knowledge and application of photographic language” workshop at Catania’s Accademia di Belle Arti, and the “Digital Photography” workshop, at the Media-lab in the Foreign Literature Faculty of Catania University.

He has participated in several national and international shows, amongst which are:

• “The Core of Industry”, European Photography, Reggio Emilia;
• 2008 “Performance Day”, by Emilio Fantin, Piazza del Duomo in Acireale; “Arteingenua” International Contest, Museo del Castello, Brescia;
• 2007 “choise.it”, Montevergini Civic Gallery, Syracuse, by Salvatore Lacagnina;
• 2006 “Temporary Cities” at the National Centre for Contemporary Arts (NCCA) in Moscow, Russia, and the Cultural Communication Centre of Klaipeda, Lithuania, by Luca Curci; video exhibition: “l’immagine continua”, with the support of Catania and Perugia’s Accademia di Belle Arti, by Roberta Baldaro and Massimo Rossi.
